Dr. Ryan J. Durante
Chief of the Cross Doman Solutions and Innovation Section at the Air Force Research Laboratory
Hardware Based Security - A Practitioner's Approach

Dr. Ryan Durante is the Chief of the Cross Domain Solutions and Innovation Section at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Information Directorate, Rome, NY. The laboratory conducts research, development, test and evaluation, and provides acquisition management services and logistics support necessary to keep Air Force weapons systems ready for war. Dr. Durante leads 25 civilian and military scientists and engineers in the development and deployment of information technologies to support decision makers and analysts across the Air Force, DoD and the National Intelligence Community. He helps manage the $1.2B IDHS portfolio and delivers innovation and system lifecycle sustainment operations for a globally deployed set of intelligence applications and infrastructure management solutions supporting real world operations in every Combatant Command AOR. Dr. Durante was commissioned in 1994 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. He trained as an acquisition officer and transitioned to civil service in 2003.
